I'll never forget the day of Grqndpa's sale. When they put him in the auction truck, to watch them sell, (not sure if that's Stan or Greg sellling) the tears really came. After the sale the house was empty, and we moved him to Parkview Haven in an Apt. in Francesville. He was only in this apt. one month and we had to put him in the nursing area at Parkview. He was so lonely there, but we had no other choice. I remember one day , Marv, came from Minn. to visit him and took him fishing in the pond behind Parkview, and that was a happy day for him. I hope Valerie can post some pictures of some of the good days he was at Parkview.

Chowie's cards
When we created these at Joy's, all cousins laughed to ourselves thinking of the comments Chowie could make. I went to the lake for his birthday and he had them all piled up unopened. He said, "Ain't this the dangdest thing? Look at all these cards I got. They are all the same size and I know who some of them are from. It's them girls." Then he looked at me with his chin lowered and his eyebrows up and said, "You know anything about this?" The next morning(June 14) he started opening them. He waited until I got up but he said, "I have a sneaky feeling you know about this already." When he opened the first one (sorry I don't remember whose it was) Mom told him it was homemade. "Aw," he said, "ain't that something?"
Then the next one was opened - the same. He started to chuckle. "Uh-Oh. Now I get it.." Next one - same. Somewhere around #5 he opened Bonnie's that fell apart! "Whoa - what happened there? She was probably making sure you all were doing your's right!" He laughed so hard and told me to take his "pitcher" so you all could see him on his birthday with his cards that he loved.

Chowie's Birthday Suprise
The 2003 the ""Annual Minnie Reunion" was held as Joy Hake's home. (This reunion consists of cousins of the female gender. No offense guys it's just the way it is.) Joy has a gift of creating greetings cards with stamps and such, so she taught us all how to create a beautiful birthday card. As the evening progressed, we got our little heads together and decided to send ALL cards to Chowie and put on the inside, the EXACT greeting and sign it from your favorite niece. Then...send them all at the same time. I wish I could have been there when he received them! I'll let Ronda tell you the rest of the story.

STAY TUNED!!!
We're about to take a sharp turn.......to the "present". Meaning, I am going to post pictures from Feller Reunions, Minnie Reunions AND as soon as I am able to scan pics again to my computer (long story, you don't want to hear about it) I will post from another album, circa 1988 - 2003. NOW.....this means, class, I am going to expect some feed back and even postings from my cousins with more pictures and comments. I KNOW there are more than just my pictures out there. So all you fine Fellers, feel free to follow, file photographs, or philosophy. Hey you can even fool around if you want. If you are too shy, (which I highly doubt) you may email me pictures with a paragraph or two explaining the photo. Speaking of explaining, this picture was taken last year at Betty's when Is was home. We had such a great day. I am SO looking forward to June 7th!!!!
Your favorite Cousin,
Valerie Lou

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
I just spent Mother's Day in Francesville with my Mom and had a wonderful time. On the way home, I thought about the Grandma, who is the reason we all are connected . For me, she was a great Grandma and a good example. Psalm 32: A VIRTUOUS WOMAN. That chapter always makes me feel guilty. Verse 15: "She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls." I can just picture Grandma getting up early, making a big breakfast, kooka bread, I can still smell the bacon. Me.....I hit the snooze a few times and STILL have problems crawling out of bed. Verse 30: Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the is to be praised. Yep that was her. Do you ever think about how God has brought us all together ..........................on purpose. (How's that for deep!) I love you all so much, and hope all had a happy Mother's Day.

Feller Reunion
OK you cute little fellers,
I am walking in "Is's" footsteps and planning a Feller Reunion Picnic!!!
After tabulating the results of the survey, and coordinating schedules with Gwensie on "where Mom will be and when", the picnic will be on SUNDAY, JUNE 7. Here's the scoopers;
TELL ALL YOUR FAMILY because I don't think I'll have time to send out darling flowery invitations like last year. Note who of your family is NOT on this e-mail list so you can tell them of this VIP upcoming event.
BRING ANYTHING YOU WANT food wise, OR feel free to just COME and not bring a thing, especially if you are from afar, because I also inherited my mom's "feed the world" passion, and I will be cooking up a storm, INCLUDING (drum roll) KOOKA BREAD and CREAM PUFFS - so all of you folks who have gotten this e-mail, PLEASE PLEASE COME!
We'll set it for 12:30ish, so mom can visit a bit in church.
One more favor, drop me a line back if you think you will come so I sorta know what's up.
Sue, I feel awful that this is the 3rd choice for you out of three, but it was not working for the other two dates. I'm sorry and want you to come real bad!
I love you all, Bets

Great Grandma Lydia Feller
I would love to know more about the life of Grandpa's Mother, Lydia. I wonder how old she is in this picture or if she was married yet. I'd really like to know why she looks so unhappy. Maybe she had to hold so still for so long, her face just stayed that way. (Mother was right!) If you have any insights, let us all know!

Farming
I cannot imagine how hard it was to farm "back then". I think of how busy we all are now and then I think how busy they were back then.....working, not playing. Bud is on the tractor at the bottom. (He always get his name cut off) The bottom right picture just says "We three" and the middle picture says "coming home from picking corn". (Remember to click on the picture so you can see it better). The bottom picture is Grandpa and Snuff at Old Settler's in Cissna. I think this was around 1981-82? (Maybe Mom remembers) There was an old threshing machine there that year and Grandpa showed us how it operated. He was in his glory!

Just my observation
Looking again at this fabulous picture of the Feller siblings........Why is it that Aunt Is and Aunt Rosella look so fresh, and sweet and beautiful and all the boys look like that cat that swallowed the canary? Does anyone think that but me?

from Ronda with love
I think of all of Grandma's brothers, Snuff was definetly the most ornery. Counting ribs and cracking knuckles.. He used to make my eye's water when he would pinch my cheeks. Uncle Carl was fun when he would come in the back door on Sunday Mornings and crow like a rooster, but Snuff................I can still hear his laugh. The upper left corner of his lip would turn up and his eyes sparkled.
